RecipeScale is a recipe scaling and cooking companion app. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we handle your data.
RecipeScale does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to our servers.
All app data (saved recipes, notes, favorites, cooking history, and preferences) is stored locally on your device. If you enable iCloud sync, data is synced through Apple's iCloud/CloudKit service directly — we never see or access this data.
RecipeScale does not use any analytics services, tracking SDKs, advertising identifiers, or cookies. We do not track your usage in any way.
RecipeScale may read from your clipboard when you open the app to detect if you recently copied a recipe. This is done entirely on-device; the clipboard content is never transmitted anywhere. You can decline this prompt, and clipboard access is only used to offer a one-tap paste.
RevenueCat: We use RevenueCat to manage in-app purchases. RevenueCat processes purchase receipts to validate unlocks. They do not receive any personal information beyond what Apple provides for purchase validation. See RevenueCat's Privacy Policy.
Apple StoreKit: Purchase transactions are handled by Apple and subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. We do not have access to your payment information.
Apple iCloud: If you enable iCloud sync, your app data is stored in your personal iCloud account via Apple's CloudKit. This data is encrypted and controlled by Apple. We do not have access to your iCloud data.
We do not share any data with third parties. Your recipe collection stays on your device (and optionally in your iCloud account).
You can delete all app data at any time from Settings > Data > Clear all data within the app. Deleting the app from your device removes all locally stored data.
RecipeScale does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If we update this privacy policy, the changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
